Indigo Vineyard

Indigo Vineyard (often simply called “Indigo”) is a family-run boutique winery situated just 10 minutes from Beechworth in Victoria’s High Country—a scenic haven of granitic soils and cool-climate influence. Established in 1999–2000 on a former sheep station, its 46–50 ha of vineyards feature a diverse range of French and Italian varieties including Chardonnay, Viognier, Roussanne, Pinot Gris, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese, Tempranillo and Nebbiolo, many planted on rootstock from highly regarded estates like Brokenwood's Graveyard vineyard and Giaconda.

Vineyard management emphasises sustainability—including biodynamic practices, compost application, and even a flock of Dorper sheep to manage under‑vine growth—creating balanced fruit and healthy soils.
